Potential Imprelis® Damage
Today I wanted to share some information with you about a manufacturer’s lawn care product
that is causing some unintended problems with certain trees.
The product in question is called Imprelis®. It is manufactured and
distributed by DuPont™ Chemical,
one of the world’s leading lawn care product suppliers. After 6 years of
testing and research and approval from the E.P.A., DuPont™ started making
this weed control product available. Imprelist® is the most expensive
product on the market, but fell in line with our beliefs, as it was marketed
as the most environmentally friendly weed control product ever manufactured.
Unfortunately lawn care companies across the country have noticed that
Imprelist® appears to be damaging the new growth on some white pines
and spruce trees. For a homeowners guide to Imprelis® Damage click

What is Dupont™ doing?
DuPont™ has sent out field teams across the country to gather more
information as to the reason for this problem. As of today, Dupont™ has
not provided us any information on their response to this issue, how long
it will last, or the severity of the damage to the trees. We will keep
you updated as soon as information becomes available.
Dupont™ had advised that affected trees be adequately watered once
every 14 days. Also, avoid pruning and tree fertilization to the affected
trees.
